Initial Robotics Post

My journey into tinkering/robotics started particularly early in my life.

These photos are from my Jr. High School Science Fair project.

At the time, all I wanted to do, was build a robot-arm for the science fair. I went through all the trouble, only to find out, that I needed to perform some sort of science-experiment, with it. :(

I ended up using it as part of a lever-experiment; something most physics students would do with a yard-stick, string, and weights.

The design was built around thick-walled cardboard tubes and some wood-scraps.

The entire setup was powered via "safe" 120VAC. LOL

Said project got me to the State Science Fair.

Sadly said robot was lost to time. I might still have some of the motors in my junk bin.
